Newsletter #3 released!
June 3, 2025The Safer Grassroots Sport (GRASS) project consortium held its 5th partner meeting today, marking an important milestone as the project enters its final phase.
Project team and work pachage leaders provided updates on the latest project developments, with a particular focus on the Safe Sport Self-Assessment Tool and the Safe Sport Digital Toolkit. Partners and experts who hosted national workshops shared valuable feedback. Through a fruitful exchange of views, the consortium identified key takeaways to finalise improvements to the tools — notably reflecting on remarks and suggestions from pilot grassroots clubs gathered during the testing sessions.
The team also outlined the upcoming comparison analysis deliverable, based on the workshops’ results, discussing its format and methodology.
A draft proposal for communicating and delivering the final major events of the project was also presented. This includes the National Events to be held in Albania, Portugal, Slovenia and Bulgaria in October, and the Final Conference, scheduled for 20 November 2025 at the NOC Portugal headquarters.
The next steps will focus on concluding and translating the tools and related resources into seven languages. In parallel, the team will work on engaging key stakeholders and their respective grassroots sport clubs in preparation for showcasing their best practices at these concluding events.
